The gondola has two parts - a tray section to go under the boat shaped dish. Traditionally if you order this dish in Bulgaria you will have fish or meat and vegetables layered in the dish and baked in the oven. It will come to the table and they light a flame in the tray section so it appears flaming at the table!
Another way to use this dish is to put ice in the tray section and then prawns etc in the dish so they stay nice and cold for serving.
The tray section underneath measures 27 cm long x 15 cm wide and the dish is 28 cm total length x 10 cm wide. It holds approximately 450 ml
